    Spring season:         

    • April and May, Weekends only  

    • 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (may vary call to confirm) 

    Summer season:        

    • May 28th, through September 10th    

    • (7-days a week) 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

    Fall season:            

    • September 10th thru October 31st, Weekends only 

    • 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (may vary call to confirm) 

    Winter season:        

    • November -March, Closed.

    What is our safety record, have we had any Parasailing Accidents?

    • No we are happy to report, we have had no parasailing accidents to date not even a stubbed toe.  We are also proud members of the (PAPO) Professional Association of Parasail Operators, a national safety organization which requires its' members to adhere to industry standards and guidelines. San Diego Parasailing Adventures has been a member since 2003.

    Is the captain and crew specially trained, experienced and or licensed?

    • Yes!  All of our captains are US Coast Guard licensed, and both captains and crew are specifically trained in all aspects of parasailing, boat handling and flight procedures, most with many years of flight experience.  Some of the best in the world!

    Are reservations recommended?

    • Yes! Due to the extreme popularity of our ride and limited space available (12 passengers maximum per trip) reservations are recommended.
    • Reservations should be made at least 1-2 days in advance.

    What is our cancellation Policy?

    • We have a very strict "zero tolerance" 48-hour cancellation policy. If you or someone in your party cancels for any reason outside of 48 hours, you will be charged 100% for the number of persons reserved in your party. Sorry no exceptions!

    What is the cost of a Parasailing Adventure?

    • The cost is only $69.95 per person for the entire adventure.
    • Note:  ($4.00 per. person "fuel sur-charge" may apply!)

    How long does the adventure last?

    • The entire boating adventure lasts for approximately one hour. With each person flying in the air for about seven minutes.

    How many passengers can go on the boat?

    • We carry up to 12 passengers maximum per boat per trip. (U.S. Coast Guard Regulations.)
    • Some weight limitations may apply.

    Can people come along to enjoy the boat ride and just watch?

    • Observers are welcome on a space available basis only! 
       The cost is $25.00 each.

    Do we have to have any experience or be athletic in any way?

    • No, if you can sit you can fly!  No experience or talent is necessary, we do all the work, you have all the fun!

    What are the age limits?

    • We don't recommend children under the age of 7 fly.  Our oldest flyer was a woman 98 years young. 
    • All age groups subject to staff approval.

    What are the weight limitations?

    • This depends on the wind and sea conditions at the time of your flight the minimum weight is about 95 lbs. (solo flight) and the maximum weight is approximately 425 lbs. (solo flight) tandem weights vary, conditions apply.  All weight catogories subject to staff approval.

    What is Tandem and who can participate

    • Two people fly together: (usually kids and teenagers) there are two types of tandem rides: 1. Lap tandem (seated front and back) and 2. the X-2 tandem bar (seated side by side) weight limitations apply! This depends on the wind and sea conditions at the time of your flight.  Subject to staff approval.

    Who can fly Tandem ?

    • This is the captains call, the captain will make this decision at the time of your flight after evaluating your weights and the wind and sea conditions. 
    • We offer no guarantee you should be prepared to fly either way solo or tandem.

    What type of parasailing do we offer?

    • "Winch Direct Parasailing" the most widely accepted form of parasailing in the world today, the type of Parasailing witch allows you to safely take of and land from on board the boat not off the beach or a floating barge as seen in Mexico and many other resorts.
       
    • It's like flying a kite with a fishing pole.  Utilizing a hydraulic winch, you are slowly reeled out from the flight deck located on the boat, after an incredible and scenic flight you are then reeled back to the vessels flight deck.

    Will we get wet?

    • Typically not, if you wish we will do our best to keep you dry, however you may want a toe dip, we will try to accommodate you if the conditions allow. It is also sometimes necessary to land you in the water, in this case you will get very wet!

    How should we dress?

    • Casual beach attire: shorts, bathing suits, sandals, tennis shoes even jeans are ok, you may want to bring a sweat shirt or wind breaker just in case.

    Do I need to know how to swim?

    • No! Swimming is not necessary, we require all participants to wear a life vest while flying.

    What is a Photo-Package?

    • Capture the fun and excitement with our new adventure photo-package, consisting of 20+ digital, close-up action photos taken by our professional crew from the flight deck, available on a CD-ROM or on-line. The cost is only $24.00. And yes, you can split the photo-package up amongst your group if you wish.
